HAIRNME started in a kitchen in Montreal, with a founder who was tired of products that promised everything and delivered nothing for her natural curls.

The Beginning

She stopped buying.
She started making.

Like so many women with textured and curly hair, our founder spent years buying products that were "designed for curls", but were actually designed for a very specific, very narrow idea of what curls look like. Too heavy. Too greasy. Full of silicones that created the illusion of moisture while actually suffocating the hair underneath.

What started as personal experimentation became something her family and friends couldn't stop asking about. Then strangers on Instagram. Then something bigger, a brand built around a simple belief: every curl type deserves formulas made specifically for it.

That's how the Taj Hydration Ritual was born, not in a lab, but from lived experience, obsessive research, and a deep love for curly hair in all its forms.
